2:30PM ~ 6:30PM HSBC Treetop Walk on Nov 5, 2010

Dear Club Mmembers

As some of you may have already known, we are planning a trekking trip to HSBC tree top walk on Nov 5, 2010 (public holiday). HSBC treetop walk is located at MacRitchie Reservoir Park. It is the first of its kind in Singapore and in the region. The total length of the walkway is about 250m and its height from the forest floor varies, with the highest point at 25m. I have attached some pictures.

• Date:             5 Nov 2010 (Fri)
• Time:            2:30PM to 6:30PM (as you are almost always under trees, you will not be exposed to direct sunlight during the trekking)
• Venue:      Meet at MacRitchie Reservoir Carpark B, next to Lornie Road (pls see map attached)
• Trekking:      Starts at MacRitchie Reservoir Nature Trail and ends at Venus Drive, off Upper Thomson Road. Then take bus to Thomson Plaza to have dinner together
• To get there:  Take bus 157 from Toa Payoh MRT or bus 156 from Bishan MRT; For those who take MRT, we can meet at Toa Payoh MRT at 2:10PM and then take bus together.

Trekking Tips:

• Wear sturdy walking shoes and comfortable clothing;
• Don't forget to pack drinking water, mosquito repellent, sunscreen and poncho;
• Bring your camera, cap, etc.
• Carry water bottles and snacks in a backpack to avoid attracting the monkeys, and refrain from eating in their presence;
